OSWEGO, NY. – On a rainy Wednesday afternoon, the Lakers hosted the Alfred State Pioneers for another non-conference match up.
THE BASICS
Final Score

Alfred State 4 (14-10, 1-1 AMCC)
Lakers Baseball Field, SUNY Oswego
HOW IT HAPPENED
Oswego put on an offensive clinic at home, defeating Alfred St. 15-4 in a lopsided contest. A massive 10-run fourth inning proved to be the turning point, as Alfred St. struggled both offensively and defensively, committing six errors in the game.
Oswego jumped out to an early 4-1 lead through three innings, but the game completely broke open in the bottom of the fourth. Alfred St.'s pitching fell apart, giving up multiple walks, hits, and errors that allowed Oswego to plate 10 runs in the inning. The Lakers' relentless attack saw contributions from up and down the lineup, with multiple players driving in runs.
Alfred St. attempted to rally in the ninth, scoring two runs, but it was far too late to overcome the deficit. Oswego's pitching staff held the Pioneers to just six hits, while their own offense racked up 14 hits and took advantage of Alfred St.'s defensive miscues.
