OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego Lakers Men's Tennis team improved to 3-2 on the season with a commanding 5-2 road victory over St. John Fisher (0-7) at the Midtown Athletic Club on Saturday morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
St. John Fisher opened strong in doubles, claiming the top two spots. Tyler Hernandez and Will Chubb edged Oswego's Matt Mannara and
Anthony Marcano 6-4 at No. 1 doubles, while Sean Brown and Trentyn Grant blanked
Austin Davis and Jose Miguel Garcia 6-0 on court two. Oswego salvaged a point at No. 3, with
Tyler Yhun and
Colin Byer defeating Charlie Roberts and Dante Buttino 6-4.
Once singles play began, Oswego flipped the switch. Despite a tough match at No. 1 singles—where SJF's Hernandez bested Marcano in straight sets (6-2, 6-2)—the Lakers swept the remaining courts with grit and consistency:
- #2 Singles: Matt Mannara rebounded from the doubles loss with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win over Chubb.
- #3 Singles: Austin Davis dispatched Brown 6-3, 6-2.
- #4 Singles: Zach Demott engaged in the match of the day, rallying for a 4-6, 7-5, 9-7 thriller over Grant.
- #5 Singles: Colin Byer cruised past Roberts 6-1, 6-4.
- #6 Singles: Jose Miguel Garcia capped off the day with a clinical 6-1, 6-0 victory over Mason Shute.
