Baseball Completes the Sweep of Canton

OSWEGO, NY - Oswego continued their three-game series with the Canton Roo's in Canton, NY this weekend. They played a double header on Saturday completing the sweet of Canton.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Game 1
The Roo's struck first in game one with a two-run home run in the top of the first. It wasn't until the bottom of the 2nd when Brendan Mair, Pat May, Emil Sander, and Daniel Winchester all batted in runs. The Lakers left the 2nd with a 5-2 lead.

Then in the 5th, Dylan Rosenberg hit a double down the line scoring Featherstone and that was followed by an RBI single from TJ Harrington. The Lakers pushed across another two runs on errors by the Roo's and earned a 7-2 lead.

In the 7th, the Lakers smashed two home runs from Emil Sander and Daniel Winchester to reach out final score of 16-2.

Matt Carner earned the win after Joel Hayner started and went 3 innings.

Game 2
This game was all Lakers from the start. Anthony Barone singled home a run in the second inning, then in the third Winchester and Rosenberg followed suit. The Lakers nearly doubled their lead in the 5th off 4 runs, 4 hits, and an error by Canton.

In the 6th, the Lakers earned 9 runs on 6 hits while batting around. On the mound, Sean Dertinger got the start, and he was relieved by Conrad, Biederman, Goutremout, Ennen, and Small. Conrad earned the win for his second win of the year.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers will head to Rochester, NY tomorrow to take on the St John Fisher Cardinals at 2:00 PM.
