OSWEGO, NY - The Lakers welcomed the Rochester Yellowjackets in hopes of getting their first win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
Rochester came out of the gates ready to play and in the first 5 minutes the Yellowjackets had 2 corner kicks and 2 shots.

Coming off a tie against Elmira, Oswego was ready to start this game in an efficient way. Their best chance came with a little over 20 minutes left in the first half. Benjamin Brooks off a free kick came up with the ball and put it right below the cross bar. Unfortunately for the Lakers, Ben Ziegler leaped high and made the save to keep the score 0-0. 

Shortly after, Rochester changed the narrative. A corner kick by Rochester's Sebastian Ballesteros found the head of Kol Bassuk for the goal. The Yellowjackets had a lead of 1 going into the half. 

In the second half, the Lakers would commit a foul and Rochester was rewarded a free kick near the midpoint. Similar to the first half, it started with a free kick. The ball bounced around for a bit before Jasper Danielian would track it down, shoot and score for a 2-0 lead.

Oswego had a few more opportunities in the remaining minutes but could not capitalize and fell at home to U of R.

WHAT'S NEXT
Oswego takes a road trip to Troy, NY to meet the RPI Engineers out of the Liberty League. The Engineers Walk into this one facing their first SUNYAC opponent and sitting at 1-1-2. Kickoff will commence at 4:00pm.
