TROY, NY. - The Oswego Men's Soccer team traveled to Troy, NY this afternoon to take on Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Engineers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers started things out slow, as neither team recorded a shot until 10 minutes in, when
Simon Bastone put one on net, but was unable to get past RPI's goalkeeper. This midfield battle continued through the entirety of the first half, as it would remain scoreless at 0-0 going into the halftime break.
The Lakers made some changes at the break but still found difficulty creating scoring opportunities. The Lakers would record two shots in the second half, bringing themselves to a grand total of just 3 on net by the end of 90 minutes.,
Kyle Rose and the Oswego State defense held strong in the most of the game until the 57th minute. Harrison Brownlow netted what would end up being the winner for RPI.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Lakers will be back in action this Wednesday, September 17th, where they are set to travel to Dunmore, PA to take on Marywood College, still in search of win number 1 on the season.
