OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team continued its strong start to the season with a commanding 7-0 sweep over Utica University on Wednesday afternoon at the Laker Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Lakers wasted no time seizing control in doubles play, winning all three matches decisively.
Leah Bell and
Emily DeLuca posted a 6-1 win at first doubles, while
Avery Borman and
Sabrina Achki matched the scoreline with a 6-1 victory at the No. 2 spot. At third doubles,
Isabella Eason and
Kate Hayes secured the sweep with a dominant 6-0 performance.
Momentum carried into singles, where Oswego won every court in straight sets. At the top of the lineup, Borman earned a 6-4, 6-2 win at first singles, followed by Achki's efficient 6-2, 6-0 result at No. 2. Bell rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 victory at third singles, while DeLuca collected a 6-3, 6-0 win at the No. 4 spot.
Rounding out the lineup, Eason powered through fifth singles with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph, and Hayes closed the match with a 6-1, 6-0 sweep at sixth singles.
