OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team continued their homestand on Saturday. They were ready to open SUNYAC play by hosting the Fredonia State Blue Devils.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
From the start, the Lakers were in control. The doubles lineup delivered a clean sweep, with
Leah Bell and
Emily DeLuca setting the pace at the top spot with a 6-0 win.
Avery Borman and
Sabrina Achki followed with a dominant 6-0 decision at No. 2, and the pairing of
Kate Hayes and
Isabella Eason made it three-for-three with another shutout victory.
Singles play brought more of the same. Borman was steady at first singles, dispatching her opponent 6-2, 6-1, while Achki was untouchable in a 6-0, 6-0 performance on the second court. Bell and DeLuca dropped only a game apiece in their straight-set wins at third and fourth singles.

Oswego's depth proved overwhelming in the lower lineup as well. Eason and Hayes each closed out the sweep with convincing 6-0, 6-0 results, sealing a flawless day for the Lakers.
