HOW IT HAPPENED
In the opener against WestConn, the Lakers went toe-to-toe with one of the Little East's top teams, pushing the match to the distance before dropping a 3–2 decision (21–25, 25–19, 20–25, 27–25, 11–15). Senior Kalley Vugteveen paced the Oswego offense with 17 kills on a .295 hitting percentage while also adding a key service ace. Gigi Basile (12 kills, five blocks) and Priscilla McReynolds (11 kills, 17 digs) provided balance on both sides of the net, while Alaina Dudzinski made her presence felt at the net with seven block assists. Setter Mya Bush dished out 46 assists to go with 12 digs, and CJ Eidem anchored the back row with 30 digs. Despite strong play, WestConn pulled away late in the decisive fifth set to seal the win.

After a mid-day break, the Lakers regrouped and returned to the court with renewed energy, earning a 3–1 win over Utica (25–23, 15–25, 25–18, 25–19). Vugteveen once again led the charge with 16 kills, hitting .371, while McReynolds tallied a match-high 13 kills. Dudzinski was nearly unstoppable, finishing with 10 kills on a .526 clip. Bush continued her steady setting with 44 assists and added two service aces, while Eidem controlled the back line with 24 digs. Oswego's blocking game proved crucial in swinging momentum, as Basile collected five block assists to help limit Utica's attack.

With the split, Oswego moves to 10–3 on the season.

Another highlight from the weekend was sophomore setter Mya Bush earning her 1000th career assist in the final game of the weekend!
