NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team faced a tough SUNYAC opponent on Saturday, falling 7-0 on the road to New Paltz. Despite the final scoreline, the Lakers showed grit across both singles and doubles play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
In doubles action, the pairing of Kate Hayes and Isabella Eason pushed their No. 3 matchup to a competitive 6-3 result, keeping rallies tight and challenging their Hawks opponents throughout. At No. 1 doubles, Emily DeLuca and Leah Bell worked hard to set the tone early, while Avery Borman and Sabrina Achki competed at the No. 2 spot against one of New Paltz's strongest tandems.
In singles play, Leah Bell led the way for Oswego with the most competitive showing at No. 3 singles, taking games in both sets before falling 6-2, 6-3. Isabella Eason also found success on her serve and return game at the No. 5 spot, collecting four games across her match. Sabrina Achki and Emily DeLuca both pushed through extended rallies, while Avery Borman and Kate Hayes battled against top-flight talent at their respective positions.
