OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego women's tennis team hosted their second consecutive home match on Friday afternoon at the Lakers Tennis Courts against Empire 8 foe, SUNY Brockport.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Lakers set the tone early in doubles play, winning all three matches in decisive fashion. The duo of
Leah Bell and
Emily DeLuca blanked their opponents 6-0 at first doubles, while
Avery Borman and
Sabrina Achki matched the score line with a dominant 6-0 win at second doubles. At third doubles,
Kate Hayes and
Isabella Eason closed out the sweep with a 6-2 victory.
Carrying momentum into singles play, Oswego didn't drop a set across all six courts. Borman led the way at first singles with a convincing 6-2, 6-1 win, followed by Achki's near-perfect 6-1, 6-0 result at the No. 2 position. Bell controlled play at third singles, posting a 6-1, 6-4 win.
In the middle of the lineup, DeLuca cruised past her opponent 6-2, 6-0 at fourth singles, while Eason dominated at fifth singles with back-to-back 6-1 scores. Hayes capped the sweep in a competitive sixth singles match, taking down her opponent 6-4, 7-4.
