HOW IT HAPPENED

Oswego started playing some string music from beyond the arc as Steven Bradley and Gary McLane got threes to go. Oswego started with a really balanced approach as their first five scorers were different. They used this attack from all angles mentality to create an early, 17-7 lead. Plattsburgh started to battle back a bit before Jayson McGhee caught fire from three point land hitting back to back triples. The McGhee threes gave Oswego some energy as they then went on to score six straight. Plattsburgh needed a timeout and it was all Lakers early. The Lakers wasted no time getting right back on the Cardinals as McGhee continued to impress scoring four more. Bradley kept his good deep range shot making going as he buried 2 more threes back to back. The Lakers offense was firing on all cylinders in the first period as they walked into the locker room with a 47-26 lead.

Freddy Fowler started off hot in the second half as he scored four in the first 3 minutes. Arthur Foster continued his good performance as he scored his ninth and tenth point with a tough finish at the rim. Plattsburgh went on to score five straight nearing the halfway mark of the second half but McLane answered with a three to grab the momentum right back. McGhee kept scoring, adding three more along with a pretty feed to McLane. Scoring went dry for a bit as Oswego shifted their mentality to defense. Patrick Emling provided a spark off the bench with a bonus distance jumper and Oswego kept building their lead. The Lakers led 73-48. Chris Whyte-Luciano got in on the scoring with a triple of his own. The Lakers, with a scoring explosion, would win this contest 84-60.
