HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers won the opening face-off and generated multiple shots on goal within the first minute of play. The Lakers dumped the puck down behind the Potsdam net and Jesse Horacek was able to find Brandon Cohen in front of the Net for the first goal of the night at 2:30. Later, Cam Symons hustled past the defense to maintain control of the puck before wrapping past the Bears goalie for the second goal of the night assisted by Brendan Gillmore. Just like that the Lakers were up 2-0 before ten minutes ticked off the clock. The Lakers took a penalty at the 8:27 mark of the first but killed off the penalty allowing just a few shots from the Bears in the process. At 12:48, Brendan Gillmore wrapped around the net landing a shot on goal that rebounded to Tommy Bannister who buried it for the Lakers third goal of the game. Less than a minute later, Colin Vassallo forced a turnover in the neutral zone and fired a shot past the goalie for the 4th goal of the game forcing a goalie change by the bears just 13 minutes into this one. With one minute remaining in the period, Oswego added their 5th tally with Collin Vassallo's second goal of the game assisted by Travis Baker and Connor Gatto.

In the second, the Bears came out with renewed energy and scored two goals of their own cutting into the Lakers lead. Oswego wasn't done for the evening however and added their 6th goal when Ryan Burke found Drake Semrad at to make the lead 6-2. The Lakers 7th goal came when Drake Semrad fired a pass wide of the net and Justin Ryan buried the rebound right in front of the goaltender with 4:21 left in the second. Oswego entered the second break with a healthy 7-2 lead.

The Lakers buried their 8th goal of the game just twenty seconds into the third off the stick of Ryan Burke. Michael Urgo got in on the scoring for the Lakers with the feed from Brett Fudger at 8:07 of the 3rd. The Lakers led, 9-2. Despite another goal by the Bears, the Lakers closed out this home SUNAYC win by a score of 9-3 with another SUNYAC game on the horizon tomorrow.
