How it Happened
After several minutes of sustained offensive pressure, the Lakers finally broke through at 7:36 of the first half, as midfielder
Ian Husselbeck stormed through a crowd of Mustangs and received a pass from
Dylan Manriquez, promptly putting it in the back of the net to make it 1-0 Oswego.
Â
After some back and forth action, as well as some physical play from both sides that resulted in two yellow cards aside, the Lakers got some good shots on goal, but Morrisville stayed strong.
Â
Husselbeck wasn't done as he found a rebound in front of the net following a corner kick, bouncing the ball off his head into the back of the net for his second of the game and seventh of the season, giving Oswego the two-goal advantage going into halftime.
Â
Kiernan Husselbeck would put the Lakers up 3-0 early in the second half, giving both Husselbeck brothers a goal in the game.
Hamid Alhamid added another at 65:28, making it 4-0 Oswego.
Â
The win was the Lakers' third shutout of the season and 10th shutout in the career of Oswego goalkeeper
Kyle Rose. The Lakers finished with nine shots on goal to Morrisville's seven, while the Mustangs outfouled the Lakers 19-17, and both teams logged two yellow cards.

Oswego will look to make it two in a row on Saturday against SUNY Canton. The Lakers will celebrate their seniors before the match; kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Laker Turf. Â
