HOW IT HAPPENED
Natalie Loncz provided all the offense Oswego would need, striking early and late in the first two periods. Loncz opened the scoring just 2:53 into the first, finishing a setup from Georgia Cunliffe at even strength to give the Lakers a 1–0 lead. Oswego carried the momentum for much of the period, outworking Potsdam in the neutral zone and limiting quality chances against.

The Lakers doubled their advantage in the final minute of the second period. With 19:43 on the clock, Loncz struck again, this time converting a feed from Cunliffe and Jenna Majewski to make it 2–0 heading into the intermission. The goal capped a strong middle frame in which Oswego tilted the ice and kept sustained pressure in the offensive zone.

Defensively, Oswego was sharp all afternoon. The Lakers killed off all Potsdam power-play opportunities and blocked shots in bunches during the third period as the visitors pushed to climb back into the game. Goaltender Mia Devivo turned aside all 19 shots she faced, securing the shutout.

After the game, the Lakers honored their senior #5 Brittany Iversen. Iversen made her presence felt throughout the afternoon, logging key minutes, winning faceoffs, and helping set the tone defensively as the Lakers controlled play from the opening faceoff.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers will remain home next weekend and take on the Buffalo State Bengals on Friday February 20th at 3:00 PM.
