Oswego, NY – The Oswego State track and field teams delivered a strong performance at the Nazareth Conference Tune-Up on Friday setting two new records in the process.

Highlights
On the women's side,
Kyra Pellegrino captured first place in the 3000-meter run with an AARTFC qualifying time of 10:27.86
(a new Oswego record!).
Hannah Reichard followed suit in the 1-mile run, winning the event in 5:05.64 (a new Oswego record!) to also meet the AARTFC standard
. Reichard continued her strong day in the 800-meter run, placing second with another qualifying mark of 2:17.91, while teammate Elena Gaffney finished eighth (2:27.75) and fourth in the mile (5:16.43). The women's relay teams also found success, with the 4x200-meter squad—comprising Daiya Kowalski, Sabrina Schmitt, Teagan Roy, and Alexie Tschanz—securing a victory in 1:58.68.
In the field events,
Kaleigh Durso had a busy day, finishing fourth in the high jump (1.43m) and competing in the long jump (4.44m) and triple jump (9.16m)
. Teagan Roy also represented the Lakers well in the sand, placing fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 9.76m. Throwers Rebecca Steiner and Shea Masse contributed to both the shot put and weight throw, with Steiner recording a 10.68m mark in the shot put and Masse posting a 10.32m
.
The men's team was led by Jeffrey Simmons, who finished second in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:57.53
. In the 3000-meter run, Noah Melita paced the Lakers with a fifth-place finish in 8:57.69, while Thomas Bowes also competed, clocking in at 9:38.96. In the sprints, Malik Davis and Soren Wolford represented Oswego in the 60-meter dash preliminaries, while Wolford also placed seventh in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.98.

Next weekend the Lakers will head to the SUNYAC Indoor Track and Field Championships Starting on Friday February 27
th.
