HOW IT HAPPENED
Oswego picked up four victories on the night, highlighted by three bonus-point wins that kept the dual within reach throughout. The Lakers got on the board at 141 pounds, where
Michael Santore delivered a momentum-shifting fall over Donny Winslow at 2:20.
Steven Ventricelli followed with a strong performance at 157, earning a 10–6 decision over Matt Verri to tighten the team score.
The middle of the lineup proved to be a bright spot for Oswego. At 174,
Jayden Kiell electrified the crowd with a pin of Wesly Guzman at 6:20, and at 184,
Avery Canzano continued the surge by securing a technical fall (18–1, 2:46) over Brandon Cirincione, giving the Lakers crucial bonus points and keeping the dual within striking distance late.
Oneonta managed to hold off the comeback effort with wins at 197 and heavyweight, as Carson Licastri earned a major decision over
Kevin Arriaza and Kenny Jackson closed the night with a decision over
Dustin Koskinen-Falls.
