How it Happened
The Lakers carried a two-run lead into the bottom of the ninth Saturday afternoon at Bridgeforth Stadium, but Shenandoah University strung together three runs in its final at-bat to walk off with a 5-4 victory.

Oswego came out with purpose. Daniel Winchester sparked the game with a leadoff double to left center and scored moments later on Dylan Rosenberg's RBI single. Rosenberg swiped second and advanced to third before M. Carner brought him home with a groundout, staking the Lakers to a 2-0 edge before Shenandoah had settled in.

On the mound, M. Sands turned in his sharpest outing of the young season. The right-hander worked six innings, allowing just two runs — only one earned — while scattering six hits. He navigated traffic efficiently and leaned on his defense to keep the Hornets off balance.

Shenandoah trimmed the lead to 2-1 in the third and pulled even in the sixth, capitalizing on an Oswego miscue to plate an unearned run. But the Lakers answered in the eighth.

TJ Harrington lined a single to ignite the rally, and Winchester reached on catcher's interference to put two aboard. With two outs, E. Sander delivered the decisive swing of the afternoon — a sharp single up the middle. A throwing error compounded the damage, allowing both runners to score and pushing Oswego back in front, 4-2.

Out of the bullpen, D. Moccio was electric. The righty struck out five over two hitless innings, stranding a pair in the seventh and blowing through the eighth to preserve the lead heading into the final frame.

A walk set the table in the ninth before a double down the left-field line cut the deficit to one. After two more free passes loaded the bases, Shenandoah delivered consecutive RBI singles to complete the comeback.

What's Next
The Lakers will return to action next Sunday March 8th when they take on Clarkson and Hamilton College .
