Game Recap: Baseball |

Oswego Falls at RIT, 10-3.

Rochester, NY - The Lakers traveled to Rochester for a dispute with the RIT Tigers. After falling behind early, the Lakers showed life in the top of the seventh behind a clutch hit from Matt Carner. Rochester ended up responding and took home the win,10-3.

BASICS
Oswego: 3 (6-10, 2-1 SUNYAC)
RIT: 10 (8-8, 2-1 Liberty)
RIT Baseball Complex | Rochester, NY

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers opened up the scoring in the top of the second inning as Jaxson Mayo had an RBI single to send in Brogan Olsen. Olsen was in scoring position by his early double in the inning. Oswego led 1-0 after two innings with no response from the Tigers.

RIT got all of it back plus some in the bottom of the third. They scored 4 but two of them were off Oswego wild pitches. Jackson Rusiecki tallied two RBI's in the inning with a base clearing triple. The Tigers' big inning had them up big with a score of 4-1. Trent Rapp added more weight on top of Oswego in the bottom of the fourth when he hit a homerun.

Despite the deficit, Oswego started to battle back all thanks to a Matt Carner single in the top of the seventh. Three singles in a row by Mayo, Hudson Meyer and Andrew Depsey would leave Carner with a chance to get the Lakers back in this. Carner, with a base knock to left field, did just that. Mayo and Meyer would score, and the Lakers were only down by two.

RIT would answer back by snagging a run in the bottom half of the inning. Isaac Braegelmann hit a sac fly to send in Rusiecki. RIT increased their lead back to 3.

RIT racked up more insurance runs in the bottom of the 8th as a two RBI single from Max Matteucci and another two RBI single from Braegelmann would give RIT a seven-run lead with just 3 outs remaining for the Lakers to generate a comeback.

Oswego wouldn't be able to piece together runs to erase the large lead from RIT and the Tigers went on to secure a home victory with a score of 10-3.
