How it Happened
Alfred seized control of the match by taking two of three doubles contests to claim the opening point. The Lakers' lone bright spot in doubles came at No. 3, where the tandem of Connor Tutor and Miguel Garcia delivered a convincing 6-1 win, but losses at No. 1 and No. 2 put Oswego behind early.

The Lakers responded with a strong showing at the top of the singles lineup. Cole Lyons led the charge with an impressive straight-sets victory at No. 1 singles, defeating Ricardo Alvarez 6-2, 6-4. Tyler Yhun added Oswego's second point of the day with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles.

Despite those efforts, Alfred proved too deep across the lineup. The Saxons secured victories at No. 2 and No. 3 singles in straight sets, while pulling out a pair of hard-fought three-set wins at No. 4 and No. 6 to clinch the match. Duncan Baker and Cole Fleming each forced deciding sets in their respective matches, but both ultimately came up short as Alfred closed the door.
