Oswego, NY - The Empire 8 Conference announced its 2025-26 Men's Golf All-Conference awards on Thursday, April 23.
 
Earning second team honors was junior Tyce Helmick, who finished sixth overall with rounds of 77, 76, 76, 84, and a 313 total at the Empire 8 Fall and Spring Championships. This is Helmick's first season with the Lakers, and he is from Ontario, OR.
 
His teammate, freshman Sam Ligas, earned third-team All-Conference honors, finishing in a tie for 11th place with a 319 total after recording rounds of 81, 79, 80, 79. This is Liga's first season with the Lakers, and he is from Binghamton, NY. Ligas was also named to the Empire 8 Tomorrow's Leaders Team!
 
The men's golf team finished in a tie for 5th place overall after the four rounds of the Empire 8 Championships were completed.  The fall championships were held on October 12-13 at Teugega Country Club in Rome, NY, while the spring Championships were held at the Lebanon Country Club in Lebanon, PA, on April 19-20.  The Lakers finished the fall championships in 6th place before climbing one spot after a second-place showing at the spring championships.  
 
The Lakers host their annual Spring Invite this weekend at the Oswego Country Club for their final match of the season.
