OSWEGO, N.Y. – The SUNY Oswego field hockey team has unveiled its 2026 schedule, a challenging 19-game slate that features 8 home contests, a matchup against perennial national power Salisbury, and four SUNYAC conference games as the Lakers look to return to the conference tournament.
The Lakers open the season at home on Aug. 27 when they welcome D'Youville to Laker Turf Stadium for a scrimmage. Oswego then heads on the road for three straight contests, beginning with a trip to Keuka on Aug. 29 (scrimmage) before a visit to Elmira on Sept. 2 for their season opener and Nazareth on Sept. 5.
Oswego returns home on Sept. 9 for a rematch with Keuka before hosting Brockport on Sept. 15. The Lakers will then face a difficult stretch of regional opponents, including road games at St. Lawrence and St. John Fisher before returning home to take on Houghton on Sept. 26.
The final non-conference tune-up comes on Sept. 30 with a road contest at Geneseo before conference play begins in dramatic fashion on Oct. 3. The Lakers will host Salisbury, one of Division III's premier programs, in a highly anticipated matchup at Laker Turf Stadium.
SUNYAC play opens on Oct. 10 with a road trip to Cortland. Oswego then resumes non-conference action against William Smith, Manhattanville, Alfred University, and Rochester while continuing its pursuit of conference positioning.
The Lakers conclude conference play with a road matchup at Morrisville on Oct. 24 before hosting Oneonta on Oct. 31 in the regular-season finale. The contest could prove pivotal in determining SUNYAC Tournament seeding.
The top teams in the conference standings will advance to the SUNYAC Tournament, with the semifinals scheduled for Nov. 6 and the championship game set for Nov. 7.
