SUNY Oswego Releases 2026-27 Women's Ice Hockey Schedule

OSWEGO, N.Y. – SUNY Oswego Women's Ice Hockey has unveiled its 2026-27 schedule, a 28-game slate that features a challenging mix of regional rivals, nationally competitive non-conference opponents, and a demanding SUNYAC campaign as the Lakers look to make another push toward the conference postseason.

The season opens at home on Oct. 17 when Oswego welcomes Elmira to the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall before hosting Nazareth one week later on Oct. 24 during the program's annual Teal Day and Youth Hockey Day celebration. Both games are set as exhibitions.

The Lakers will then hit the road for their first away series of the season, traveling to Pennsylvania for a two-game set against Arcadia on Oct. 30-31.

November brings one of the most anticipated matchups of the year as rival Utica University visits Oswego on Nov. 6 for Military Appreciation Day before the teams conclude their home-and-home series the following afternoon in Utica.

SUNYAC play begins in mid-November with road contests against William Smith and Buffalo State on Nov. 13-14. Oswego returns home the following weekend to host Potsdam and Plattsburgh, highlighted by the annual Teddy Bear Toss on Nov. 20 and a First Responders Appreciation game on Nov. 21.

Following the holiday break, the Lakers open 2027 with a challenging trip to Massachusetts for a two-game series against Williams on Jan. 1-2 before returning home to face Amherst on Jan. 5 and Western New England on Jan. 8.

A unique Education Day matchup against St. John Fisher is scheduled for Jan. 14 at 11:00 AM in Oswego, with the return game taking place in Rochester two days later.

The heart of the conference schedule arrives in late January and February. Oswego opens a key SUNYAC road swing against Cortland and Morrisville on Jan. 22-23 before traveling to Canton on Jan. 29. The Lakers then host Canton on Jan. 30 as part of a joint White Out promotion with the men's hockey program.

February features critical conference contests as playoff positioning takes center stage. Oswego visits perennial contender Plattsburgh on Feb. 5 before traveling to Potsdam the following day. The Lakers also make a non-conference stop at Hamilton on Feb. 9 before returning home for Pride Night against Morrisville on Feb. 12 and Women's Hockey Night against Cortland on Feb. 13.

The regular season concludes with a pivotal home weekend against Buffalo State and William Smith on Feb. 19-20. The William Smith matchup will serve as Senior Day, honoring the Lakers' graduating class before the start of postseason play.
The SUNYAC Tournament is scheduled to begin with first-round action on Feb. 24, followed by the semifinals on Feb. 27 and the conference championship game on March 6.

In total, Oswego will play 13 regular-season home games at the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall, giving Laker fans numerous opportunities to support the team throughout a season packed with rivalry matchups, conference battles, and special promotional events.
