Grace Gdovin stopped the run with a kill, and Alaina Dudzinski was credited on consecutive blocks as SUNY Oswego pulled within 10-7 before Priscilla McReynolds later helped cut the margin to 17-14 with a kill, a Lakers point on an attack error and a service ace. Williams scored four of the next five points to reach 21-15, then closed the set 25-17 after a Maya Thompson kill brought up set point and a SUNY Oswego attack error ended it.
Williams put the Lakers in an early 5-0 hole in the second set, getting a Keely Campuzano kill and three Kate Lane service aces during the first five points. SUNY Oswego cut it to 8-5 on a Dudzinski block and a McReynolds kill, but Williams moved ahead 16-9 before Chloe Arnaiz's kill returned serve to the Lakers. Mya Bush then served four straight points as SUNY Oswego pulled within 16-14, with Arnaiz adding a block, Arnaiz teaming with Dudzinski for another and Bush capping the stretch with an ace. After Dudzinski kill made it 17-15, Williams scored four straight points behind three Adalena Rodgers kills and a Maya Thompson ace, then later closed the set 25-19 on a Lane kill.
