Matt Jacob was added to the Oswego State men’s basketball staff prior to the 2018-19 season. He joins the staff after having coached for 22 years in the Liverpool Central School District, coaching both basketball and baseball.
After his tenure coaching baseball from 1994-2005, Jacob moved exclusively to basketball from 1998-2015, where he sustained and built upon the strong tradition.
Most recently (2017), Jacob coached at the Park School of Buffalo where he helped the Pioneers capture the New York State (NYS) Class A State Championship as well as the NYS Federation Class A Championship.
In his playing days, Jacob was a two-sport collegiate athlete where he was a four-year starter in baseball and was a two-way starter in football for Division I Niagara University.
For the past 34 years, Jacob founded and is the managing partner for CNY Center for Wealth Management and Financial Planning. The Center for Wealth is a Financial, Tax Planning and Investment Services firm that has offices in Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo.
He and his wife, Bridgette, reside in Liverpool. Their two children, Matthew and Andrea, reside and work in Manhattan.
