Pat Hanlon

Pat Hanlon enters her sixth season as head coach of the Laker volleyball team in 2010, after serving as the team’s assistant coach from 2001-04. In 2008, Oswego State tallied an overall record of 13-20 and narrowly missed a SUNYAC playoff berth with a record of 4-6 in West Division play.

The program made great advances in her first season and finished with a 17-15 record and narrowly missed out on the SUNYAC Post-Season. Her second season as head coach saw another improvement in the team’s record, as posted a 19-15 record. In addition to success on the court, Hanlon’s program is consistently one of Oswego State’s top academic achieving teams.

Hanlon is a graduate of SUNY Oswego with a degree in elementary education and has a recreation degree from Onondaga Community College. She has been a member of the Empire State Games Master's division team since 1990.

She has been a lifetime promoter of volleyball in central New York as she has coached area club teams, high school varsity teams, and the Central Region Scholastic Women's Volleyball team at the Empire State Games. Hanlon is a nationally-accredited scorekeeper, clinician, and state-ranked official. She served as a scorer at a pre-Olympic men's volleyball match (USA vs. Bulgaria) in 2000.
