Oswego State sophomore men's basketball forward Chris Gilkes was a key factor in two conference wins for Oswego State this past weekend. In the Lakers' 71-48 victory over Fredonia on Friday, he was an efficient 8-of-9 from the field, while tallying five steals on the defensive end, en route to scoring 18 points. Gilkes followed up that performance with a game-high 23 points on 11-of-18 shooting to help Oswego State defeat previously unbeaten Buffalo State 80-73 in overtime. He also grabbed nine boards as the Lakers improved to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
