The senior wrestler became the first Oswego State wrestler since 2009 to qualify for the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships after placing second at 157 pounds at the NCAA Northeast Regionals. He saw his 15-match winning streak come to an end on Sunday in the championship bout, but still punched his national ticket as the top three finishers in each weight class advanced to Cedar Rapids, Iowa on March 15-16. The senior posted back-to-back comeback victories over Devin Biscaha of Springfield and nationally sixth-ranked Derek Brenon to earn a trip to the finals and the NCAA Tournament. In the semifinals, Fisher battled until the final horn as he recorded a reversal with one second left to post the 3-2 win.
