The freshman pitched 6.2 shutout innings against Cortland in a 4-2 win over the Red Dragons in the opening game of a doubleheader on Saturday. The freshman took over in the circle after Cortland recorded two runs and only one out in the first inning and pitched out of a bases-loaded jam by inducing a double-play. Nasca allowed just four hits, while striking out one and walking two batters. The triumph over the Red Dragons snapped a 36-game losing streak and marked the Lakers first victory over Cortland since April 25, 1987.
