OSWEGO, N.Y. -- Dylan McCarthy of the men's cross country team has been selected as the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 18, 2015.

McCarthy's performance went a long way in helping the Lakers capture a seventh place finish in the race composed of nine Division I teams (a total of 12 teams). The team placed first among Division II and III schools.

The freshman crossed the line in 42nd, including a top-10 finish in his class, with a time of 27:15.43.

Men's cross country team will be back in action on Oct. 31 in Plattsburgh to compete in the SUNYAC Championship. The races will begin at 11 a.m.
