OSWEGO, N.Y. -- Shawn Hulshof of the men's ice hockey team has been named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Nov. 1, 2015.
In the first game of the week against Geneseo, Hulshof filled up the stat sheet. The junior tallied an assist on a Laker goal in the second period, which brought Oswego within one, 3-2. He then scored the game-tying goal with just over three minutes remaining in the game, to secure a draw.
The Stouffville, Ont. native also assisted on the game-winning goal against Brockport. Oswego finished 1-0-1 on the week, solidifying its No. 5/6 preseason ranking in the D3hockey and the USCHO polls.
The Lakers will be back in action at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 6 where they will take on the Cortland Red Dragons.
