OSWEGO, N.Y. -- Troy Seymour of the wrestling team has been named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Nov. 8, 2015.
Seymour paced the Lakers with a first place finish in the 174-pound weight class over the weekend at the Ithaca Invitational. The sophomore did not lose, going 4-0 on the weekend, including wins over Ithaca and the Stevens Institute of Technology.
The Morrisonville, N.Y. native earned Oswego 19 points toward its cumulative total of 66 with his performance. The Lakers finished seventh overall, just two points behind Rochester Institute Technology for sixth.
Wrestling will head to Rochester at 1 p.m. Saturday for a dual matchup against the RIT Tigers.
