Jordan Bushey of the wrestling team was named Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 12.

Bushey became the wrestling program’s 47^th All-American after a fourth-place finish in the 184-pound weight class at the NCAA Division III championships – hosted by UW-La Crosse – over the weekend.

The freshman collected three wins at the national tournament, which finalizes his record at 39-2 on the year. Bushey’s only losses this season, were during the Division III championships. He collected several tournament wins during the season, including the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference title in the 184-lb weight class.

Reaching a No. 4 ranking nationally in his weight class, Bushey earned the ECWC Rookie of the Week honors four times.
