Oswego, N.Y. – Alison Sullivan - of the volleyball team - has been named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 2. The senior toppled the career blocking record that stood for 18-years.

Sullivan surpassed the career blocking record of 329 on Sunday at the Morrisville State Tournament, after amassing five solo and 12 block assists in five matches. The Dedham, Mass. native now has 336 total blocks during her four seasons at Oswego.

Sullivan is tied with Julia Flohr and Melissa Lussier for most service points on the weekend with 19, while leading the team in points (50), points per set (2.63) and kills (39)

Sullivan and the Lakers return to the court at 7 p.m. on Wednesday as they host the Cazenovia College Wildcats.
