OSWEGO, N.Y. – Rachael Farmer – of the women’s ice hockey team – was named Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 11.

Farmer in her Lakers debut over the weekend picked up two shutout wins on the road over Buffalo State. On Friday, she stopped 26 shots on goal in a 2-0 victory. The following day, in a dual with Bengals goalie Bri Gawronski, she would collect 34 saves, including 11 third period saves to hold them off for a 1-0 win.  

The junior-transfer out of Cortland totaled 60 saves on the weekend to improve the Lakers to 4-0 on the season and 2-0 in the NEWHL.

Farmer and the Lakers return to the ice at 7 p.m. Friday for their “Pink the Rink” home opener as they host Cortland.
