OSWEGO, N.Y. – Kyle Bacon – of the men’s lacrosse team – was named Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 28.

The Montgomery, N.Y. native scored five goals against Oneonta on Saturday in a must-win game that clinched a spot in the SUNYAC Championship for the Lakers. He scored four in the first half, giving the squad a commanding 10-2 lead at the intermission, The game finished 15-6.

The junior attackers’ five goals increased his season tally to 18, tying him for third on the team. His totals in goals (12) and points (14) are top-ten marks in conference play.

Bacon and the Lakers travel to Cortland to take on the top-seeded Red Dragons in the SUNYAC Semifinals at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
