The Oswego State men's soccer team saw its brief two-game unbeaten streak come to an end as visiting Brockport defeated the Lakers by the score of 3-0 on Saturday, Sept. 25, at the South Athletic Complex.

The loss knocked the Lakers to 3-5-1 overall, while dropping to 0-1-1 in the SUNY Athletic Conference play. The Golden Eagles improved to 5-2-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the conference.

Brockport struck early as Mike Abgarian (Long Island) scored five minutes into the game on an assist from Greg Dini (Long Island). The Golden Eagles added a second goal before the half as Abgarian netted his second of the game, this time on a feed from Anthony Jaworski (Long Island).
Dini scored the only goal of the second half with Jaworski again setting up the tally.

In goal for Oswego State, John Spuhler (Fulton) made five saves and Greg Keenan (Warsaw) made two.

Shaun Ernewein (Albion) made three saves for Brockport.

The Lakers return to conference play next weekend playing at Buffalo State on Friday, Oct. 1, and then at Fredonia on Oct. 2.
