The Oswego State women's basketball team remained undefeated as the Lakers held off visiting Fredonia 69-47 on Friday, Jan. 14, at Laker Hall.

The win puts Oswego State at 10-0 on the season and 4-0 in SUNY Athletic Conference play. With the loss, the Blue Devils fell to 7-4 overall and 2-2 in the conference.

The Lakers led 26-19 at the break before outscoring the Blue Devils 43-28 in the second half.

Senior Kristin Sterling (Oneida) led the Lakers in scoring with 14 points going a perfect 7-for-7 from the floor. Sophomore Lacey Kimpland (Fulton) added 12 points, while freshman Sarah Lombard (Saratoga Springs) scored in double figures for the third straight game finishing with 10 points.
Laker senior Sally Shuster (East Amherst) nailed a pair of shots from behind the 3-point arc to become the school's all-time leader in 3-pointers with 183. She passed former Oswego State standout Jamie Clough, who set the old mark of 181 in 2000.

Fredonia's Jill Ratchuk (Buffalo) led all scorers with 18 points.

Oswego State will face Buffalo State tomorrow afternoon at 2 pm.
