The Oswego State men's soccer team snapped a four-game losing streak with a 2-0 win at Potsdam that kept them in contention for the SUNYAC playoffs.
Oswego State scored two late goals in the win. Jim Mertz scored the game-winning goal in the 73rd minute and Jason Popovich scored four minutes later to give the Lakers a two-goal lead. That held up and Oswego State improved to 3-4-1 in the SUNYAC and 7-7-1 overall. Potsdam is now 1-7-0 in the SUNYAC and 3-11-1 overall.
The Lakers will play at Cortland on Wednesday afternoon.
