The Geneseo Blue Knights defeated the Oswego State men's soccer team 3-0 Saturday at the Laker Soccer Field.

The Knights extended their record 8-2-0 on the season, and 5-1-0 in the SUNYAC while the Lakers dropped to 6-4-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the conference.

Junior Matt Robinson scored first for the Blue Knights, with an assist by Joe Walter.

Midfielder Kurt Jameson then widened the gap to 2-0 with a rebound goal in the last minute of the first half. Yoshi Morimoto added a goal late in the second half to determine the final score. Two Oswego State shots hit the crossbar in the second half.

Geneseo goalkeeper Jeremy Reeves earned his first shut out of the season with one save, while Lakers goalkeeper Shaun Sessa recorded nine saves.

The Lakers return to action on Friday at Fredonia.
