The Oswego State men's soccer team lost 1-0 to Geneseo on Friday afternoon at Laker Field.
The only goal of the game came in the 75th minute as Ben Ariola scored on an assist from Nick Prosser. Ariola collected a pass in the congested penalty area and managed to get a foot to it and shoot into the upper corner of the net.
Oswego State goalkeeper Shaun Sessa made four saves in the game, as did Geneseo keeper Adam McMahon.
The Lakers are now 6-8-1 overall and 3-5-0 in the SUNYAC. Geneseo is 8-5-0 and 5-3-0 in the conference.
Oswego State hosts Brockport Saturday at 4 p.m.
