Brockport's Joe Asmussen scored an unassisted goal in the 16th minute of the game and the Golden Eagles defeated Oswego State 1-0 in a men's soccer game on Saturday afternoon at Laker Field in Oswego.

A cross deflected off an Oswego State defender and fell to Asmussen, who scored the only goal of the game. Each team had 13 shots.

Laker goalkeeper Shaun Sessa and Brockport keeper Jack Burgasser each made five saves.

Oswego State is now 6-9-1 on the year and 3-6-0 in the SUNYAC. Brockport is 9-3-0 and 7-2-0 in the conference.
