The Oswego State volleyball team honored its two seniors prior to the start of a match against Keuka, and then defeated the visiting Keuka Storm in three games on Wednesday night at Max Ziel Gymnasium in Oswego. Game scores were 30-25, 30-17, 30-27.

Oswego State (8-15) led throughout in winning the first two games, but trailed for the majority of the third game. The Lakers were behind 24-21 in the third game, but rallied to win nine of the final 12 points. Keuka is now 10-8 on the season.

The Lakers were led by the seniors -- Heidi Armstrong and Amanda McManus -- both of whom are graduates of Solvay High School. Armstrong had 13 kills, eight digs, and a block while McManus had 33 assists, three kills, two aces, and eight digs. Kim Hayes added 11 kills for the Lakers and Amanda Cipriano had 19 digs.

Keuka's statistical leaders included Jenn Shaughnessy with seven kills, one solo block, and three block assists; Diana Frank with 11 assists; and Ashley Aman with 10 digs.

Oswego State has this weekend off and returns to the court Oct. 12-13 at home, hosting the Oswego State Invitational at Max Ziel Gymnasium.
