The Oswego State men's soccer team lost 3-1 at Buffalo State on Saturday.
The Bengals got off to a quick start and scored just 2:09 into the contest as Zackary Eastman collected a rebound and scored after a header by Aaron Gollegly was saved by Laker goalkeeper Nick Liberati.
Oswego State answered in the 12th minute as Craig Nazare accepted a pass from Chris Carra and fired it in to tie the score 1-1.
Buffalo State took the lead in the 22nd minute as Tony Schiappa crossed a ball that Justin Lofaro scored on, and added an insurance goal as Schiappa had his second consecutive assist after a give-and-go with Joatan Humphries.
The beginning of the game was twice delayed by lightning.
Liberati had four saves for Oswego State and Dan Corti had four saves for Buffalo State.
The Lakers are now 6-7-1 on the season and 3-4-0 in the SUNYAC. Buffalo State is 8-4-1 and 5-2-0 in the conference. Oswego State hosts defending SUNYAC champions Geneseo on Friday at 4 p.m.
