After losing the first two games of the match, the Oswego State volleyball team won three straight in a victory at St. John Fisher on Wednesday night. The game scores were 21-30, 24-30, 30-28, 30-22, 15-8.
Laker junior libero Amanda Cipriano set an Oswego State record with 34 digs in the match and also had 10 kills. Setter Amanda McManus had 64 assists, two kills, two aces, and 16 digs. Kim Hayes had 21 kills and 20 digs, and Heidi Armstrong had 19 kills, 16 digs, and a block.
Oswego State is 4-10 on the season and will head into the first weekend of SUNYAC Pool Play with some momentum. The Lakers will be in competition at Geneseo and face Brockport and Buffalo State on Friday, and Morrisville, Fredonia, and Geneseo on Saturday.
