The Oswego State men's soccer team scored just 28 seconds into the contest and went on to a 4-0 victory over visiting Morrisville on Friday afternoon at Laker Field in Oswego.
Jeremy Scott scored his first goal of the season on an assist from Michael Roorda in the game's opening minute, and Craig Nazare added two more goals in the first half as Oswego State built a 3-0 lead.
Scott turned in a cross from Roorda that snuck between the post and the outstretched arms of Morrisville starting goalkeeper Anthony Woods. Both of Nazare's goals were well-placed shots from approximately 15 yards out. Roorda assisted on Nazare's first goal and Scott set up the second.
Michael Kincaid scored the Lakers' final goal of the afternoon on an assist from Greg Blette in the 82nd minute.
Woods made five saves in the first half for Morrisville and Paolo Sardella made two saves in the second half. Oswego State goalkeeper Shaun Sessa had four saves in 74:02 and Nick Liberati made one save over the final 15:58 of the contest.
With the win, Oswego State improved to 2-4-1 overall and evened its SUNYAC record at 1-1-0. Morrisville is now 4-3-0 overall and 1-1-0 in SUNYAC play. The Mustangs are a provisional member of the SUNYAC this season. All games involving them are included in the conference standings, even though they are ineligible for the postseason tournament.
