The Oswego State men's soccer team earned its second straight shutout victory, 5-0, over SUNYIT on Saturday to cap off the program's alumni weekend. The Lakers were led by a four-point effort from freshman midfielder Dean Gaetano.

Junior midfielder Mike Roorda broke a scoreless tie with his first goal of the season in the 33rd minute off an assist from Gaetano. Chris Carra started a second-half Laker surge in the 46th minute with his first goal of the season for a 2-0 lead. Felipe Cavalcanti pushed the lead to 3-0 in the 59th minute when he found the net for the second time this season.

Gaetano then added to his tally with another assist, this time to Michael Kincaid for his second goal of the season in the 70th minute. Just over a minute later they reversed roles when Kincaid assisted on Gaetano's first goal of the season.

The win improved Oswego State's record to 3-4-1 on the year, and 2-1-0 in SUNYAC play. The Wildcats fell to 3-4-0 on the year and 0-3-0 in the SUNYAC.

At halftime, the Lakers recognized the program's first championship team as members from the 1966 SUNYAC-title team were honored.
