The Oswego State men's soccer team defeated Wells 3-0 on Tuesday afternoon at Laker Field in a non-conference game.
The victory was Oswego State's third in a row, and evened Oswego State's record at 4-4-1 on the season.
Michael Kincaid scored the first goal for Oswego State when he chipped Wells goalkeeper Matthew Schecter from the left side from 20 yards out. Jonathan Kuracina assisted on the goal. Kincaid scored for the third game in a row and Kuracina, a freshman, recorded his first collegiate point.
Prior to Kincaid's goal, Wells forward Alexis Kangah forced an excellent save from Laker goalkeeper Nick Liberati. The well-struck shot was headed for the upper corner, but Liberati parried it away to safety.
The Lakers added two more goals in the second half. John Alund scored his first of the season when he headed in a cross from Kincaid in the 54th minute. Felipe Cavalcanti rounded out the scoring with an unassisted goal, which he shot into the low left corner of the net.
Wells goalkeeper Schecter had 12 saves in the game as the Lakers outshot the Express 32-7.
Oswego State goalkeepers Liberati (two saves) and Marcus LaRobadiere combined for the shutout. The Lakers have also shut out their last three opponents and have a team scoreless streak of 139 minutes, 22 seconds dating back to the first half of a loss to Oneonta on Sept. 15.
The Lakers take their winning streak on the road this weekend, returning to SUNYAC play with road games at Potsdam on Friday and Plattsburgh on Saturday.
