The Oswego State men's soccer team won 4-1 at Potsdam on Friday night. The victory improved Oswego State's record to 5-4-1 overall and 3-1-0 in SUNYAC play.
The Lakers have won four consecutive games and have scored three goals or more in each of those victories. Oswego State has 16 goals in the last four games, after scoring just two over the first six games of the year.
Oswego State took the lead in the ninth minute of the game when Craig Nazare scored his third goal of the season on an assist from Michael Kincaid. The Lakers doubled their lead on Michael Roorda's second goal of the season, which was assisted by German Collazo. Potsdam pulled one back just before halftime on a goal by Jeremy Boula, assisted by Mike Niles.
The Lakers added goals in the second half, as Kincaid scored in the 66th minute, assisted by Felipe Cavalcanti and Cavalcanti scored an unassisted goal in the 78th minute.
Oswego State takes on Plattsburgh on Saturday at 3 p.m. The Lakers and Cardinals are currently tied for second in the SUNYAC standings with 3-1-0 conference records.
