The Oswego State women's basketball team defeated Fredonia 63-54 on Friday at Steele Hall in Fredonia.
 The Lakers were led by 14 points from Traci Bacon, and seniors Sam Driscoll (13 points) and Sarah Lombard (10). Oswego State trailed by one point at halftime but outscored the Blue Devils by 10 points in the second half.
 It was the Lakers' third straight victory as they improved to 13-10 overall and 8-7 in the conference.
 Fredonia was led by 19 points from Cheryl Kindzia and 16 from Maria Scaffidi, but Oswego State's team defense forced 20 turnovers and held the hosts to just 37.7 percent shooting from the field.
