The Oswego State men's soccer team dropped its second game of the 2008 season in a 1-0 decision to St. John Fisher College in the third-place game of the University of Rochester Flower City Classic on Sunday afternoon.

Despite both teams being even on shots (six) and corner kicks (six), the game's only goal came on a misplay in the first half, when the Lakers accidentally kicked the ball into their own net at the 28:13 mark on an attempt to clear a St. John Fisher crossing pass in front of the goal.

Oswego had a couple of good attempts to even the score, the best coming with 4:43 remaining in the second half when a shot from sophomore midfielder German Collazo went wide left.

Junior Nick Liberati went the distance in goal for the Lakers, making three saves.

Oswego State will host Nazareth College in its home opener on Saturday, September 6 at 1:00 p.m.
